Claire Barrow has found a fascinating focus for her latest novel--identity theft. But her invention turns all too real as Claire begins to recognize that someone is systematically stealing her life. Her nightmare deepens with the stunning news that the courts have released the vicious killer her late husband tried to put away for life. On a collision course with total ruin and with no one left to trust, Claire sees only one--very dangerous--way out.

I have read 5 of Judith Kelman's books so far, and enjoyed every one. This one was particularly gripping. HOWEVER, every ending so far has been ridiculous. I have come to realize that this author always leaves loose ends hanging, and always has an ending that doesn't make sense. However, I am still happy to read her books - the enjoyment I get for 95% of the book more than compensates for the weak endings.

A woman is the victim of indentity theft and other crimes, while a murderer is also on the loose. This book dragged out forever and then wrapped up in just a few quick pages, very neatly. I was not thrilled with it at all. Not impressed.

A good read, with an unexpected ending. Too many different plots going on simultaneously, but still enjoyable. _Ridiculously_ small print, however, in the paperback edition.
