SVH in general has never been subtle. If Robin is chubby, it's because they can't let her appear in a scene without food or the mention of food. However, she does get one of the few actual character overhauls in the series, and I'm not just talking physical.

Also, the earlier SVH books seem to rejoice in making Jessica particularly cruel and nasty, and this one is no exception.
