This book I had to read for english and it was a very good book, interesting, intriguing and just a really good book. It gives you a look at different cultures and how they live and do things and the problems and fights they see and go thru...very good book

Typical Isabel Allende writing, very descriptive, interesting story. Sometime the characters a bit too descriptive. If you have read Allende you know that she spins a great yarn!

This book has history and a great story. I could not put this book down. You dont want the story to end. I have kept it in my library for a long time, because I enjoyed it so much, but now I would like to share it with anyone who enjoys areal good book.

Allende is more of a poet than a writer.

This is a early novel for this author. I like her latter novels better,but it was a interesting read. It has lots of twists and turns for the characters.
