Jonathan Kellerman's character of Alex Delaware is very well developed. You care about him and know that he will do what it takes to help his patients. In this story a former patient, who was just seven years old when he first worked with her, is needing his help again...not for herself, but her agrophobic mother, a beautiful woman haunted by demons from her past. As the story develops, the reader is drawn into a world of terror that reaches a chilling conclusion. A real page-turner!!

A really intelligent psychological thriller about a child psychologist assisting a former patient locate her missing mother before the monster that assaulted and maimed them 20 years before can strike again.

Alex Delaware once again to the rescue, this time of one of his former patients, a young girl who called a help line at age 7. Now 18, she needs Delaware's help again, to deal with a fear that's all too real. A late-night page-turner - don't start it if you have to get up early!

"A gut-wrenching scenario. A page-turner from beginning to end. Vividly realistic and explores the subject with haunting emotional power." Great Book!

The voice belongs to a woman, but Dr. Alex Delaware remembers a little girl. It is eleven years since 7 year old Melissa dialed a hospital help line for comfort.

I read this book a couple years ago, during my Jonathan Kellerman phase. The voice belongs to a woman, but Dr. Alex Delaware remembers a little girl. Its been 11 years since 7 yr old Melissa dialed the hospital for comfort and therapy with Alex. Now the lovely young heiress is deperately calling for the psychologist's help again. This time it looks like her childhood nightmare is coming true.
