One of my least favorite Tom Robbins books, but still a worthwhile read. If you haven't read Robbbins yet, don't let this be your first.

Kristine S. wrote on 7/9/2008...Clairvoyants, trained fleas, the Second Coming - what more could you ask for?? Tom Robbins is a wonderful writer and this is one os his classics. Of course, in my opinion, they ALL are.
Danielle T. (I had thoroughly enjoyed the rest of Tom Robbins' novels over the years, so I was excited to finally be able to read this, his first. Honestly, this book didn't impress me from the get-go, and I was kind of disappointed with it; in my mind it took a while to pick up. But, oh, when it did, it lassoed me in just like all his other books had in the past. So give it a chance!
quirky in the Ken Kesey vein. fairly good writing, but not enough story for me.
