I'm typically not a fan of abridgements, and unfortunately this was no exception. While the storyline has promise, and perhaps may have been quite good as an unabridged book, I found it too sparse to really enjoy. So much was cut that you didn't get to really connect with the characters, and in fact there were so many characters that it was hard to remember who was who as I listened. I think this would be a good book to read, but I wouldn't get the abridged audio book.
