In my opinion one of the better parts of this book is the portrayal of the differing psychologies facing Detective April Woo -- does she try to please her traditional Chinese family or make decisions based on New York City values.
An April Woo/Mike Sanchez mystery. Glass's characters really come to life, and the mysteries are intriguing.
I actually never finished this one, but it looked good and was highly recommended to me years ago
The first book in one of my favorite series: Detective April Woo and the NYPD. She teams with psychiatrist Jason Frank to stop a serial killer. Having an Asian protagonist leads to cultural clashes, especially between April and her mother. Highly recommended.
