Rice book's are about the Irish culture but this book is about shipping industry as well. It's about the hardships of staying in love when one of your children is handicapped and still trying to keep the romance alive. Rice does this in a very risque way not the usual romantic picnic and then making love afterwards as a typical clique.

The plot is more complex than it appears. I have read all of Luanne Rice's books and this one is not a dissappointer.

This is the first book I've read by Luanne Rice and I really enjoyed it. Well written!
Set in New England in the town of Mount Hope, this story centers around Cass and her husband Billy who were high school sweethearts. Cass, her sisters and her mother run a family owned waterfront restaurant. Billy works for Cass's father, who owns a fishing fleet. They have 3 children, one of whom is hearing impaired. The dynamics of a small town and a very close knit family keep you glued to the book. It's definitely a "I can't wait to get home from work so I can read" kind of book!
I really liked this book. Loved the storyline and the characters.

Great story.
Heart warming and heart racing. Not as predictable as one might think.
A good story about family, devotion and love.
