Book Description:
There are no rules in the dark, no place to feel safe, no escape from the shadows. But to save the day, you must...Seize the Night.

At no time does Moonlight Bay look more beautiful than at night. Yet it is precisely then that the secluded little town reveals its menace. Now children are disappearing. From their homes. From the streets. And there's nothing their families can do about it. Because in Moonlight Bay, the police work their hardest to conceal crimes and silence victims. No matter what happens in the night, their job is to ensure that nothing disturbs the peace and quiet of Moonlight Bay...

Christopher Snow isn't afraid of the dark. Forced to live in the shadows because of a rare genetic disorder, he knows the night world better than anyone. He believes the lost children are still alive and that their disappearance is connected to the town's most carefully kept, most ominous secret--a secret only he can uncover, a secret that will force him to confront an adversary at one with the most dangerous darkness of all. The darkness inside the human heart.

Another great Koontz book --- unexpected twists, crazy science, crazy phenomena, and great characters (who's relationships are strong, and the ties are clear).

How do you fight evil - when evil lurks in the dark - and you can't go out during the day?
Children are being snatched in the town, and the police are covering it up. Add to that, a darkened, shut down army base where once animals and humans were subject to "trials"...that may still be going on.

In my opinion, the Christopher Snow books are the best work Dean Koontz has produced. Even if you don't like Koontz's usual thrillers, you might find you enjoy "Seize The Night" and "Fear Nothing".

You can read this book without having read the first book ("Fear Nothing"), but events and characters actions do make more sense if you read the books in order.

Strange story about a boy who cannot be in the sunlight so he wanders at night. This is a page turner/burner.

If you get tired of "serious" books, this is the thriller for you - it has quirky, likeable characters, super intelligent mutant monkeys, time travel, top secret genetic experiments gone horribly wrong, and of course, a race against time to save the innocent victims of evil. I couldn't put it down.

I have to say, I have yet to find a Koontz book I don't like...but this one was close. Parts of it dragged for me and I'd skip a few pages to get back to the "good stuff." Then again, other parts of it grabbed me and I had a few late nights. So yeah, it's okay, but it's not one I'd rave about.

This wasn't as good as the first book, but it was still interesting. You learn to really like the characters and hope they make it out alive.

This is the only "Chris Snow" book I've ever read. I liked the character and, at the time of reading it, I didn't realize there were others. This is a great thriller and is action-packed as Chris can only go out at night, and NIGHT is when all the fun starts. Mystery, science (fiction?), terror. Great book.

I really enjoyed this book. When Chris's friend's son turns up missing he embarks on a quest to track him down that leads him to an abandoned hangar. Keeps you on the edge all the way through. I didn't realize it was the second book in a series until just recently. Looking for the first one now.

I loved the way in Odd Hours he had Odd wearing a sweatshirt that said "Fort Wyvern" on it. Neat cross-referencing there, if you've read the Snow books.
