Thoroughly enjoyable. Excellent plot with Kimberly finally less dramatic. I did guess who the killer was b/c of one line near the end but not how it would end. A very good book !

This book was fantastic! Kept me on the edge of my seat and guessing until the very end. This is book four of the ongoing Quincy-Rainie series. In order the books are:
"The Perfect Husband" intro of Pierce Quincy
"The Third Victim" intro of Rainie Conner
"The Next Accident" intro of Kimberly Quincy
"The Killing Hour" intro of Michael "Mac" McCormack
"Gone"
"Say Goodbye"
I have not read the last two books but the rest have all been great reads. I would suggest reading these books in proper order just to understand and appreciate the dynamics of each character and their interaction with each other. However, there is enough background info given in each book so that they don't necessarily need to be read in order.
Each time he strikes, he takes two victims. He waits for the first victim to be discovered-a body containing all the clues investigators need to find the second victim, who counts the seconds... to a slow but certain death.
Now, two girls have disappeared, and the deadly countdown begins again. Rookie FBI agent Kimberly Quincy knows the killer's deadline can be met-but she'll have to break some rules to do it. Joining forces with her father, renowned FBI profiler Pierce Quincy, and his partner, Rainie Conner, Kimberly will begin a dangerous hunt for a predator like none she's ever seen.
He's had five years to perfect his game. Now the clock is ticking. For his victims and for Kimberly... Time's up.

The 1st two sentences of the prologue are: The man first started noticing in 1998. Two girls went out to a bar, and never came home.
I love Lisa Gardner books she is a great story teller!!!!!!!!! You will not want to put this book down.
