A Noah Bishop Special Crimes Unit novel. Scary good. I read it very quickly. This is the first book I have read by this author - I am so impressed I will look for her other books.

I am an avid Kay Hooper fan- because she is always able to keep me guessing until the very end...and she didn't disappoint me this time.

In this book, Lucas Jordan of the Special Crimes Unit is called in to deal with a serial kidnapper, who puts his victims in hazardous contraptions that will kill them eventually if they are not found in time...and so far- no one has gotten out alive.

In true Hooper style this book is fast paced, and intriguing. And as always there is a paranormal thread that ties the story together. The serial kidnapper is playing a game of life and death with Jordan, and so far the kidnapper is winning. Lucas Jordan of the SCU is experiencing a paranormal block that is only allowing him reach the kidnapped victims to late. The only question is can Luke overcome the block before someone else is killed.

Hooper incorporates the paranormal, romance, and lots of suspense, that kept me turning the pages! Her characters are not run of the mill heros, but real people with real problems and issues- which makes them interesting.

This was my 2nd Kay Hooper book. First one I read of her was Stealing Shadows. Wasn't sure this one could keep me as interested, but I was found it hard to put this book down. After being an avid Sandra Brown and Jonathan Kellerman reader, Kay Hooper did not disappoint me by combining Kellerman's suspsense and intrigue with Sandra Brown's love stories and mystery.

My first time reading Kay Hooper's novels, but it definitely won't be the last. A very engrossing mystery involving the psyhic abilities of an elite crime-fighting unit. He sees clues where other cops can't....He senses death before it even strikes...But the FBI agent Lucas Jordan has never hunted a killer like this one...He's never hunted fear itself.... I read this book in one day, could not put it down!!

I really liked this book and am reading all the books that are related. I wouldn't call them a series but some characters overlap in the books so they are related. Very good read!

Kay Hooper is one of the best when it comes to the paranormal suspense genre. Hunting Fear is the beginning of a new series that includes Bishop and his crime fighting team.

They use more than regular police investignation techniques to catch the bad guy. In this one Lucas Jordan is tracking a serial kidnapper that takes the victim, asks for a reasonable ransom, and than kills the victim all without leaving any clues behind. Luke as been on his trail for eighteen months when the case takes a turn and becomes very personal. Now the clock is ticking and his past has now caught up to his future but is he strong enough to deal with the fear that lives inside of him?

Samantha Burke has not had an easy life. She lives day to day working as a fortune teller in a carnival and one night she picks up an item and has a vision. She knows that she must face her past and that means dealing with Lucas Jordan. But that's okay because she has the strength to do what she must in order to stop a serial killer that hunts a person's fear.

This was a strong paranormal romance that I inhaled. It's a bit complex with equally complex characters. I think you'd be drawn to both Lucas and Sam for very different reasons. Their chemistry is intense but will not overshadow the main storyline and that is catching a killer before he has a chance to kill again. I highly recommend this as well as the other Fear books.

The Barnes & Noble Review
New York Times–bestselling author Kay Hooper ratchets up the tension in this fast-paced thriller about a psychic profiler and his hunt for a seemingly invincible murderer. Profiler Lucas Jordan has been able to locate missing people by sensing their fear, the very fear that excites the killer he's trying to find. But there's a twist in the latest kidnapping -- a carnival psychic predicted the crime a week before it happened. Psychic "Zarina" turns out to be Samantha Burke, a woman from Lucas's past; warily, they team up to beat the killer to his next victim. As they get closer to the truth, Samantha's powers are stretched to the breaking point, and Lucas's success will depend on overcoming the emotional barriers that shut down their relationship in the first place.
