This issue of The Onion is the perfect starting point for new fans....it chronicals over 200 years of news as seen through the funniest writers......while other Onion books cover parodies of current events, this collection begin at the founding of our nation and ends in the mid 80-90's............funny, although it does have crude/offensive humor & language in parts.....history majors/buffs will love it! My favorite headlines..."O.J. Finds Real Killer" complete with a photoshopped pic of OJ leading a biker type guy in handcuffs up the courthouse steps. A great article on the JFK shooting manages to combine almost every conspirarcy theory. While not every article is a home run, there are so many jokes per page, something will make you laugh...also a lot of attention was paid so that the historical parodies match the type/style/language of teh time period covered.

Offensive, intelligent, hugely hilarious parodies of news reporting.
