A good and exciting read for hard sci-fi fans. Lots of battles and other blow up starship type action. I enjoyed the characters, they are all well developed. For fans of David Weber a must read. Takes up after the human/tabby war.

There are 4 books in this series, and you want to start with this one. Crusade, In Death Ground, The Shiva Option, and Insurrection is the order I suggest for chronology, although Insurrection was actually written first, it happens well after the the timeline in the other three books. They are all excellent space navy warfare, from the tiny fighters lobbed from the decks of space carriers to the super dreadnoughts carrying massive capital beam weapons, each book is an expansive look at the options and tactics of space warfare. Great sci-fi!
