This book was not what I expected. I thought it would be funny and romantic, and it wasn't. The book drags over a 10 year period with a lot of deception and heartbreak throughout.

Susan Elizabeth Phillips is my guilty pleasure! This one, though a little older, holds up nicely and is as good as her others.

This book started out kind of slow, but then became very interesting. It is one of those that I didn't want to end.

Couldn't get into it. Also, I don't think they should have ended up together -- he was abusive and not sorry about it. And he kidnaps his son at the end of the book. Way to forge that father-son bond. What kid wouldn't want to be stolen from all he knows by a father who is completely unable to put others feelings first (like those of a confused & frightened kid). But it all works out in the end.
