Book Description:
Complete Nutrition Book for Nursing Mothers, Including a Healthy Guide to Weight Loss

Provides mothers with just the information they need to make smart decisions about what (and how much!) to eat while they breastfeed so they can feel good about themselves and their decision to nurse their babies. Sometimes the weight you gained during pregnancy doesn't just melt away, despite all the excess calories needed to produce milk. And, naturally, your very first concern is eating well for baby. This book will guide you to a healthy diet that will help you lose weight naturally and safely while you nourish a happy, healthy new child. Answers your questions about vitamins, foods to avoid, how much weight is safe to lose, how many calories you really need, exercise and more. Meal plans and recipes included.

A registered dietician, professional nutritionist, and mother of two, Behan shows the nursing mom how to shed pounds and work on getting her figure back while keeping her child properly nourished and happy, with the revolutionary program she devised for herself in order to lose 52 pounds while nursing.

This is a good basic health and nutrition book for new moms. If you already know a lot about basic nutrition, you should probably skip it, but if you are new to healthy eating and want to eat right for your baby, this is a good place to begin.

I like this one. It has a lot of solid basic nutrition information. A great guide for loosing weight while nursing.
However, I am really into nutrition and this was kinda basic for me. Worth the read, but I'm not going to keep it around for reference.

This book helped me to stay on track with my meals after the baby was born. Highly recommend it.

Advice, questions and answers, recipes, and exhortations to take care of yourself. It's helpful, but in fairness to the medical profession I have to say that no doctor ever tried to sell me on breastfeeding by promising weight loss!

This was a very useful guide for a new mom committed to extended breastfeeding (past 6 months).
