My daughter loved this book, the first in the Magic Tree House series. Jack and his little sister Annie discover a tree house filled with books where Jack finds a book about dinosaurs and looks through it. When Jack sees a picture of a Pteranodon, he whispers, "I wish I could see a Pteranodon for real." Suddenly, Jack and Annie find themselves in the prehistoric past. I look forward to reading the rest of this series with my daughter, fantastic adventure books to read aloud to young ones!

The first book in the series. Independent reading level 2.0 as stated by publisher on the back cover. Very cute story that sets the whole series in motion.

THis is the first book in the series; it explains how the whole deal got started. This book is about dinosaurs but does not focus on their lifestyles. It mainly focuses on their physical characteristics.

My two boys ages 3 and 6 loved this book. I caught my 6 year old sneaking a look at the pictures to find out what happened next- and my 3 year old begs and begs for me to keep reading. I even enjoyed reading it to them- the dialogue was fun.

This is the first in a great series of children's adventure books. A great way to get and keep your kids reading.

A Magic Tree House book..need I say more:)
Jack and his sister, Annie, who take a trip in a magic tree house and land in a time 65 million years ago. They find dinosaurs and volcanoes and adventure. Veteran storyteller Osborne builds the power of reading into the story: it's the books in the tree house that give the kids the magic to travel and see far, far away.

A tree house that appears out of nowhere? Before Jack and Annie can say "What's happening?"they're whisked away to the prehistoric past. Will they get home before dark...or will they become some giant creature's dinner?
