This was fairly cute for a big sister book. I wasn't terribly impressed with the assumption that baby would be bottlefed, though.

This book helped my daughter handle being a big sister when her brother was born. It's a gentle book and explains that Mom and Dad will need to take care of baby, but Big Sister won't be left out and she can actually help with the baby's care.

The thing I like about the book is that the baby is gender-neutral, so it works whether the new baby is a boy or a girl. The author just calls the baby "the baby" or "our baby," which is good in case you're not finding out the gender of the new baby or if you have more children in the future.

The pictures are colorful, the text is simple, and the message is important: being a big sister is an important "job"!

This wonderful book helped my daughter make the transition when we were preparing for our second baby. Then, when her sister came along, we read and re-read it. It helps point out how special an older sister is and why it's also fun to be the big sister, not just the baby!

Having a new baby at home can be a joyous and rewarding experience for everyone in the family -- especially an older sibling. With charm and sensitivity the author celebrates the warmth and security of family and home from a big sister's perspective.

Cute book for the soon-to-be (or already is) big sister. Shares ideas on how special being "big" is and what big sis can do to help with baby. My daughter loved reading this before and after her little brother was born.

A young child's view on having a younger sibling, great for helping to introduce a new baby into the family, well illustrated and well written.
