I first read this book in 4th grade and i still have it on my book self. Its a great book and tells the story about how the Morgan horse breed came to be.

Nice story about the origins of the Morgan Breed of horses during colonial era of American history. We toured the Morgan Horse Farm in New England and this book came alive.

Beautifully illustrated by Marguerite Henry (black and white illustrations on every other page). Interesting bibliography in back. Used in Sonlight Core 3.
