There were definitely some good strategies in this book, and I think one of the greatest strengths was that the author does not assume that everyone is going to be cleaning every nook and cranny of the home and scrubbing walls daily. She suggests first determining what your definition of "clean" is, and what you can happily live with. She was not condescending, didn't make me feel bad about what I chose not to clean regularly, and gave some good suggestions on ways to improve on some areas. One of the drawbacks was with product recommendations. Probably because of legal issues, she couldn't outright name her suggested products. It was probably pretty obvious when she was referring to a Swiffer, for example, but there were times when I did want to know the brand/product she was using specifically and had no answer. I think there are probably better books out there, but all in all, there were still useful tips to gather and it is presented in a way that is strictly informative and helpful and not at all condescending.

Who has time to read a book on cleaning? But, I think it may be helpful to a new bride.

This is a very helpful book for those like to cut their cleaning time in half. And who doesn't like that? I found a lot of short cuts that helped me out. This is for those who spend a large amount of time cleaning..
