As with all of Lori Wick's books, this is a great read!!

I like the first of the series and also the second. A nice read!

While caring for her ill father, "the Colonel, " Anne meets Robert Weston, who stops by the Gardiner cottage while inspecting his newly inherited estate. When Anne accidentally falls into Robert's arms, her father mistakes the scene and demands honor for Anne. A hasty "marriage" is arranged. Soon, the Colonel's tales of the event threaten Anne's reputation. Anne and Robert soon wonder if a real marriage can repair the damage.
