Rebecca H. (What a terrific series! And read so well on the audio version. I've listened to all three novels so far via my local library. I know I'm not the target age for a young adult novel like this (I'm in my forties), but the characterization is so good (I think it is Meyer's gift for hearing the characters' dialogue), the story line and the dilemmas facing Bella and those who love her follow persuasively from the characters. For those younger readers who worry they'll find the vampire/werewolf aspect too scary to enjoy this series - I think the characters of Bella, Edward and Jacob will draw you in in the very first book, Twilight, and you'll be hooked. If all you want is paranormal fighting/sex/action this is not the series for you. Stephanie Meyer's books are ultimately about personal relationships, even though they include danger, fighting and death.
