Anne Rule is the best of true crime writers. This book is long but interesting. Lots of info regarding how murderers are hunted down with
clues they left behind unknowingly.

This has been made into a TV movie now is your chance to read the book and compare it to the movie.

This is a very long, involved account on a very long, involved investigation. Ann Rule covers this horrific crime in a way that acknowledges the victims in a special way and offers insight into the mind of a killer. Brings you right into the neighborhood where it all happened. One of my favorite Ann Rule books - although they are all worth reading.

not one of her better books. would have benefited by ruthless editing. was probably 2 to 3 times longer than it needed to be, packed as it was with endless detail that did little to enhance the story. it would also have been helpful to learn more about gary ridgway himself and less about the endless investigation.

Wow this is just crazy how someone can appear so normal yet be so demented. I think this is a good read although it kept me up many nights just trying to figure out how someone could be so messed up. I like that Ann gives them all a name, story and gives credit to all the task force.

In her most personal and provocative book to date, the #1 bestselling master of true crime presents "her long-awaited definitive narrative of the brutal and senseless crimes that haunted the Seattle area for decades" (Publishers Weekly). This is the extraordinary true story of the most prolific serial killer the nation had ever seen--a case involving more than forty-nine female victims, two decades of intense investigative work...and one unrelenting killer who not only attended Ann Rule's book signings but lived less than a mile away from her home.

"Perhaps Rule's finest work."--Statesman Journal (OR)

This book got very repetitive with each victim. Although it is a true story and it is nice that Rule gave each one a face, they were so similar that they blended together.

This was a very hard book for me to read. My niece was one of the victims. The book gave a lot of information on the victims, ridgeway, and the investigation. Unfortunately, as far as I know, she never spoke to anyone in our family. If she had she would have had a better understanding of what drove Colleen to be the way she was.

Anyone interested in serial killers, or true crime, should find this a very good read.

Ann Rule writes the account of the Green River Killer very well. Back stories on most of the victims are provided as well and, despite its vast amount of pages, it is a fast read...you can't put this book down!

Ann Rule writes in detail about the horrific crime spree of the Green River killer. It includes multiple photographs, and inside information about the cases. A heavy, thick paperback but worth the time it takes to read it. A must-read for the true crime fan.

Very well done. Professional. Enough detail, without gratuitous violence. The plot is clear.

Chilling, meticulously researched, well-realized study of the Green River Killer and the law enforcement folks who hunted him.

So far, the most accurate and researched account of the the "Green River Killer" murders.

As I read this book, I was appalled at how easy the Green River killer was able to get away for as long as he did with the killing. Shocking but hard to put down.

I've read all Ann Rule's book. I thought this was somewhat repetitious and wordy.

I couldn' put this book down. As usual Ann Rule writes another excellent true crime book, with only a style she can add. This book will leave you with compassion for the victims and families, and amazement at how the GRK got away with it for so long.

Green River, Running Red is a harrowing account of a modern monster, a killer who walked among us undetected. It is also the story of his quarryof who these young women were and who they might have become. A chilling look at the darkest side of human nature, this is the most important and most personal audiobook of Ann Rule's long career.
