Here is how I rated this trilogy:
"Highlander Unbound" (Book 1) 3*
- Two reasons: One, I didn’t like Ellie’s constant betrayal of Liam. Especially after having Liams declaration and words of love that he would do *anything* for her. Ellie just didn’t have the depth of character that Mared and Anna did in books 2 & 3.
- And two, while I enjoyed Liam in general, I thought he came across as a little to much“the bigger they are the harder (or dumber) they fall” type guy especially when he continued to let Ellie dupe him.
"Highlander In Disguise" (Book 2) 5* Grif and Anna’s story had just the right amount of everything! My favorite of the 3 books! =)
"Highlander In Love" (Book 3) 4 1/2* Payton and Mared’s story was very well done also. And while it was predictable, I was still in there rooting for them and teary eyed in places.
All in all a very enjoyable trio! And of course the covers are yummy! =)

Not as good as the second book (Highlander In Disguise) but still pretty good. The plot and storyline were inventive, but I felt as if something was missing. The characters had chemistry but they way they were written just seemed "off" (for lack of a better word).
It was nice to see a woman in a romance novel actually take control of her own fate for once.

First book of her HIGHLANDER series. Liam Lockhart's family has fallen on hard times and he needs to find a stolen family heirloom that could salvage their estate. Ellen Farnsworth has secrets and troubles of her own. Bound to Liam by a passion, duty compels Ellen to commit a terrible betrayal. Liam needs vengeance for the betrayal, but he also needs the heirloom, all bound together with Ellen.

This is a historical fiction novel set in London and parts of Scottland in the 1800's. The characters are lively and as the story unfolds, it contains passion, pride, vengence and betrayal, to make it "juicy" and entertaining to read.
