Book Description:
Aspiring actress Jennifer Crane knows all about games -- the games girls play to get a guy; the games actresses play to land a part; and the good old game of credit-card roulette. (How else is a girl supposed to afford her shoes?) But she never expected to be playing a game with life-or-death consequences. Unable to successfully score an acting gig, she has, instead, been cast in the role of reluctant bodyguard to a real-life assassin's target -- a dashing FBI agent of all people! -- and must embark with him upon a scavenger hunt across Manhattan in search of the ultimate prize: survival. Before this, Jenn's definition of fighting dirty has been elbowing her way to the front of the line at a Manolo sample sale. Now, if she wants to stay alive, she's going to have to learn a few new uses for her stilettos. . . and they ain't pretty.

I continue to be impressed with this series. I don't play the games because I'm really bad at that sort of thing (especially when the clues involve Broadway), but I enjoy the suspense and fast pace. In some places, I felt like I was reading The Givenchy Code all over again, but she kept the series going. Resolution for a minor character was missing, but maybe we'll get it in the last book. Also, apparently we'll find out who's behind the game in the next book. But I know I'm not the only reader who doesn't really care - that's hardly been emphasized in the series.

I couldn't put this book down! Very fast read; I loved the fast pace of the story; every page made me want to keep turning the pages to find out what is going to happen next. I hate to see the series end but I'm so curious to see who is behind the game.

Follow up to the thoroughly enjoyable GIVENCHY CODE....

Another fast paced adventure in the Designer name trilogy. Givenchy Code (Book 1) was a little better, but this was still a fast, fun read.

This is a computer game come alive, with key roles played by Manolo shoes along with Broadway musicals all serving up a nicely played out mystery.

I was a bit disappointed in this one. It was almost a replay of the Givenchy Code but she used Broadway musicals for the clues. I'm hoping that the final one, The Prada Paradox, will be better. At least we will find out who is behind the game!
