Fans of sports agent Myron Bolitar will appreciate this book, seventh in the series. Though the plot is dark and the theme serious, Coben leavens it with his characteristic humor. Myron's first love, who dumped him years ago for a more successful basketball player, drops back into his life. Her 13-year-old son needs a bone marrow transplant. The only suitable registered donor has disappeared. Can Myron find him? Oh, by the way, she informs Myron, he's the boy's father. Myron rallies to the call and on the way to saving his son takes on a killer other than cancer, among other complications. In this book Coben has something to say and he says it with wit.
