Another great installment to the Jane Austen series! Jane writes an episode for a sitcom and gets to be behind the scenes as it gets rehersed and tapes, but then there's a murder on the set. I love Jane's witty humor!

I love a good mystery, too bad this one isn't it! The main character is rather annoying. They way she is always faux replying to people and saying "I din't really say that, what I said was..." just bugs the heck out of me. It was funny a few times, but gets overdone by the end of the book. I won't be continuing on with this series.

In this second book in the series featuring Hollywood freelance-writer Jaine Austen, Jaine lands what she thinks is her dream job as a guest writer for a Saturday morning sitcom called "Muffy and Me". Jaine quickly discovers that the job is not what she expected, and things go from bad to worse when the hunky co-star of the show drops dead on the set. When Jaine's best friend Kandi Tobolowski is fingered as the prime suspect in the actor's murder, Jaine goes to work sleuthing on her own, with hilarious consequences.
This book is a hoot!!!! It is about a sit-com writer who writes for a crazy new sit-com where the heartthrob drops dead!
Last Writes is a fun easy read. It let's you take a peek into the writers room on a TV sitcom.
It's a fun way to see if you really want to be that TV writer you think you want to be.
