Book Description:
Davy McCloud is a disillusioned private investigator who has had to learn the hard way that, when it comes to women, it's usually not a good idea to follow blind impulses. Much better to play it safe and keep things simple, calm, and free of any messy complications. But when the luscious, mysterious new exercise instructor Margot Vetter shows up at the gym next door, with her endless curves on eye-popping display in neon-coloured spandex, Davy is sorely tempted to make an exception-just this once. Problem is, the background check that he runs on Margot reveals that she's hiding a few secrets-secrets of the dark and deadly kind. Margot is at the end of her rope. As if it weren't enough to be broke, desperate, and on the run after being framed for a murder, she's now being terrorized bya malevolent stalker. She can't go to the police, of course. But she has to talk to someone or go crazy. So she turns to the buff, impossibly gorgeous investigator and kung fu expert Davy McCloud. After all, he looks like nothing on earth could possibly intimidate him. And anyway, she's been looking for an excuse to get a good look at him, up close and personal. Food for fantasy-because the nights are awfully long when a girl is scared to go to sleep. What Margot doesn't count on is Davy's relentless intensity-not to mention his irresistible magnetism. What Davy doesn't count on is the possessive hunger Margot sparks in his soul, a hunger that instantly sweeps away all of his hard-earned professional cool. As Margot's past threatens to catch up with her, Davy feels himself being dragged into a storm of danger. If they are to survive, the two must come together, face their fears, and finally discover what it really means to love and trust another person.

Ms. Mckenna does a wonderful job telling sexy, fast-paced stories, but if you are looking for tradional romance, look somewhere else. Mckenna's books do not toe the party line, they are crude, creepy, and oh so hot! Read it, you will enjoy! My only recomendation is to read the books in order. It will help with a lot of back history. Enjoy!

In Behind Closed Doors and Standing in the Shadows, Shannon McKenna introduced the McCloud Brothers: intense, rugged, super-sexy, and deliciously sensual. Now, Davy McCloud is about to meet a woman he can’t trust—or live without...

Disillusioned P.I. Davy McCloud has learned the hard way not to follow blind impulse when it comes to women. He’d rather play it safe, and keep his life simple, calm, and uncomplicated. But he’s prepared to make an exception when Margo Vetter shows up to teach at the gym next door. The luscious, mysterious woman stirs a hunger he hasn’t felt in a long time as well as a fierce protectiveness he can’t quite explain, especially when her background check reveals she’s hiding secrets—secrets of the ugly, deadly kind.

Margot is at the end of her rope. It’s bad enough that she’s broke and on the run, framed for a murder she didn’t commit. Now, she’s being terrorized by a malevolent stalker. The only person she dares to turn to is buff, scarily gorgeous Davy McCloud, a man who seems like nothing on earth could intimidate him. But Davy has questions of his own, and the closer she gets to him, the more Margot discovers that she can’t hold herself back from this enigmatic, sensual man in any way.

Neither of them expected passion to flare this quickly—or to drag them into a danger as real as their love. Margot’s past has finally caught up with her. And for Davy McCloud, life is about to get more than complicated…it’s turning deadly...

Davy Mclouds story. Not a keeper like Seth's story( Behind closed Doors) or Connor's story ( Standing in the shadows). A good read , though.
