Book Description:
Dana Cabot cannot remember the kind of person she was before May 29th, the day she became angry at God, at her workaholic attorney husband, and herself. The day her seven-year-old daughter. Bailey, disappeared. As the months wear on without a trace of her adorable but troubled child, Dana can't help blaming her husband's controversial defense of an accused abuser for playing a role in the abduction--and it shows in the strain on their marriage. But then a shocking event offers a chance to what really happened to Bailey--and Dana's unwitting part in it. Haunted by the unthinkable consequences of revealing everything she knows. Dana must decide whether to keep the truth to herself--or risk losing the rest of her family. Suspenseful, searing, and evocative, this beautifully written novel offers poignant insights into the meaning of honesty--in marriage, in friendship, and in justice.

I loved the way it switches the perspectives to different characters in the novel instead of just from one point of view. The plot was interesting and the outcome was a bit of a surprise. All in all an ejoyable read.

The premise is very interesting--a young girl disappears from her own front yard. Told from the perspective of the girl's mother, her father, and the mother's best friend (an Episcopal priest), it had uneven places but on the whole was plotted well. There is a good bit about spirituality in this book (how one can maintain a relationship with God when one's child has been abducted, for example), which may appeal to some readers, and may turn others off.

I LOVED this book!! I had to remind myself everytime I picked it up not to look ahead to find out what happens. It definitely keeps you guessing and at the same time makes you think. I would most definitely recommend this book to anyone. One of the best I've EVER read!

I enjoyed this book, although I figured some parts of it out before it ended. It clealry made me think about choices and how those we make effect others. I would recommend this book.

This book had an interesting storyline that was quite thought-provoking! It involves a missing child and the affect it has on the family.
