Book Description:
When ten-year-old India Opal Buloni moves to Naomi, Florida, with her preacher father, she doesn't know what to expect. She is lonely at first--that is until she meets Winn-Dixie, a stray dog who helps her make some unusual friends. Because of Winn-Dixie, Opal begins to let go of some of her sadness and finds she has a whole lot to be thankful for.

Absolutely love this book! For every child at heart or animal lover out there. Because Of Winn Dixie is a very touching story and just proves to you that animals can be best friends too.

This book is about a girl named Opal whose goes to the supermarket (winn-dixie) and find a friend who she names winn- dixie, since this dog has been with her she is happier and is solving long term issues.

Very entertaning book about a girl who finds an unusual dog. They run into many troubles like in a grocery syore and a church. It is an excellent book to read!

I loved this story. My son had to read it in the 4th or 5th grade, so I read it also. Very endearing story of a young girl in Florida, living with her dad, and her adopted dog.

really a great book, especially for 9-11 year olds. One of my all time favorites along with charlottes web and where the red fern grows
