Book Description:
Police chief Joseph North has been estranged from his brother, David, ever since David stole Sarah, the girl Joseph loved. When David is seriously injured in a car accident, Joseph is drawn back into their lives and that of his niece, Eden. David and Sarah adopted Eden when she was a baby, but Sarah has always had a difficult time connecting with her daughter. Joseph's life is also complicated by a mysterious woman named Miranda.

I would give this book 5 STARS. I LOVED it.
Linda Nichols reminds me of FRANCINE RIVERS writtings.They are just a good and the message in her books are POWERFUL. This is Linda Nichols 4th book and it is amazing. I fell in love with EDEN and I could relate to many of the characters in her story. I appreciated the Discussion Questions at the end of the book. It made you take the book deeper. The truths of this book causes me to go to the word of God and search my own heart. I loved that about this book.

A story about a woman's search for the daughter she gave up for adoption, a search that takes her into her mother's past, and her own, as well, to find the answers she seeks. And a solution that is closer to she knows...
Very well written! Highly recommended! Each of book is better than the last!

My first book by Linda Nichols and it won't be my last. A well written, engaging story that captivates you from the first page. The main story is about Eden, but there is a romance in here also. You will really enjoy this book.

I absolutely loved this book. It is a keeper, even though I am busy passing it to all my friends. The character of Eden is wonderful, a quirky girl who is very real. Nichols gives her readers characters that are believeable, loveable, and REAL. Love this book and all Nichols other books. She is great.

This is the first book I read by Linda Nichols. After reading it, I got all of her books, read them, and passed them on to my (adult) daughter.
This is not "light" Christian romance or what I call "Christian soap opera." It deals with some very heavy subjects. For young readers, you might want to preread it for mature content. The content is handled tastefully and well. However, some youngsters may not be ready to deal with the issues that are presented.

The first half of this book has very long descriptions (wordy. Still glad I read it, the second half was worth it.

This was a very well written captivating book. It held my attention through to the end. Although the storyline was somewhat predictable in parts, it was still very touching, heartfelt, and interesting.
Joy H. (Interesting story about family, decisions and living with our choices. Good characters, very real misunderstandings, secrets and how they dealt with all of that. Making the connections and reading how it all played out was rewarding.
I highly recommend this book. It reminded me that God works in mysterious ways. The characters are well developed and the storyline is compelling. A truly refreshing book!
I loved this book. Linda captures you with the characters right from the git go. I couldn't put it down. Kept reading when I should have been sleeping.
Wow. Linda Nichols got right into the souls of each character and made this book a reminder that we have our own downfalls, but when we hold to God he completes us.
