This book had some suspense (even some mob action)tied in it which was different than Beverly Lewis's other books. This book was authored by her and her husband, David Lewis. This is not part of a series, however it would be interesting to learn more about the characters in the book. If only witnessing were this easy in real life though.

This is a harrowing love story of the power behind revenge, the price for freedowm and the solace found in friendship. It portrays characters, both tender and flawed whose search for meaning brings them to a moment of shocking and profound truth.

Compelling and inspiring Sanctuary is a harrowing love story of the power behind revenge, the price for freedom, & the solace found in friendship. It portrays characters both tender &: flawed whose search for meaning brings them to a moment of shocking and profound truth. Excellent reading, with suspense & surprizes.

This one's different in tone from other Beverly Lewis books I've read and I wondered if I'd enjoy it. Turns out I did. The end has a couple of interesting twists and I'd love to see this one become the start of a series featuring Mellie and Ryan... though I don't think it was written with that in mind.
