One of the best Christian fiction books I have ever read. Heitzmann is one of my favorite authors. I have read all of her most recent books, but I have not read the first series. This book deals with painful issues regarding wounds we recieve from our parents, even well-meaning ones. The author brings out these issues not to lay blame, but to demonstrate that knowing who you are in Christ is the only way to abundant life on earth, just as accepting Him as Savior is the only way to eternal life.

This is the first Heitzmann book I read and it got me started on reading all of her books. I really got hooked!

Heitzmann has rapidly become one of my favorite authors. Great stories, full of great characters, suspense, mystery. A great read!

I started off liking this book, but it got so-so towards the end. I should preface by saying that this is only the 2nd Christian fiction I've ever read, so maybe it's just not my thing, but I thought it took too long after the climactic moment for things to start rolling again for the characters. The plot involving the husband was surprising and suspenseful, and the kids in it were adorable, so it wasn't a bad read, but it just seemed to drag at the end.

A really good read -- not a formula romance at all, but a story with definite character development. I'm always looking for more of Heitzmann's books.

Heitzmann is an amazing author!! She is not your run-of-the-mill Christian romance writer. This story has lots of character depth and exciting suspense and drama. Loved it!!
