I loved this book. It started out a bit slow, but as the story started to evolve it got much better, and I got to where I couldn't put it down at night. As soon as I finished it, the movie came on the Hallmark channel, so it was neat to see it. Only thing I didn't like about the movie was the female character...I had pictured her differently in my mind from the books description. (The book came out first) Wonderful book though and I do plan on continuing the series.

Wonderful story. It reminded me very much of the old TV show, "Wagon Train". It is the story of a group heading West, all the trials and hardships. Inspirational. I enjoyed it.
