Book Description:
Sazi Wolven law-enforcement operatives Tony and Sue Giodone are still struggling with their mixed marriage with him being a recently converted werewolf and she a human. As he learns to control his new paranormal skills, Tony also deals with being on the law side of life as a pack leader instead of his previous employment that of a Mafia hit man.
Tony is currently working on a hostage rescue assignment when he suffers an out-of-body experience for the first time in his life; something that is not typical of a werewolf. He finds himself able to see what Ahmad al-Narmer of the Cobras sees as the council member is stunned to face a woman he thought dead. Ahmad also believes Tony’s new skill will prove valuable as the “snake” goes undercover trying to unravel a deadly plot to destroy the werewolves, snakes and humans by some of the former mobster’s previous associates led by a personal “friend” of Ahmad.

I have read this entire series to date, and have always enjoyed them, so I was very disappointed in this installment. I have to say that I honestly did not finish reading the book. I started it, could not get into the story at all, so I put it down, read another book, and came back to it to try again. Again, I just couldn't make myself read it. It was boring, slow & it didnt give enough of a lead up to the story (its been a good while since the last one & a refresher would have been nice) I dont think Ill bother w/ the next one.

Karen B. (I've read all the books in the series so far, and even though this one was slow getting started, it turned out to be a good story with a good plot. Tony is my favorite narrator so far and I'm glad they brought him back. There was no refresher information, which I don't mind since it takes up too much time in a book and I want to get into the real story not be refreshed or constantly reminded about something I already know. I gave it 4 1/2 stars. If you've kept up with the series so far, this is a definite must read!
