Book Description:
The necklace promised great happiness or great tragedy -- and nobody could elude its power . . .

To British privateer Ethan Sharpe, Grace Chastain was nothing but a pawn for vengeance against Harmon Jeffries, the traitor responsible for his brutal years in prison. Believing Grace to be Jeffries' mistress, he plans to humiliate his enemy by seducing her.

Grace fears her priceless heirloom necklace has begun to live up to its curse when Captain Sharpe makes her his prisoner aboard his schooner. Defiantly she resists his coarse advances, and suspects there is more to this complex sea captain than his brooding anger and silent accusations.

But Ethan quickly realizes that she is not the wicked woman he imagined her to be. Grace is as headstrong as she is lovely, and the battle of wills that ensues weakens his resolve. Now Ethan must decide: can he settle the demons of his past and follow the destiny his heart commands?

its a perfect story to read when you are lounging around the house or at the beach. The plot lines were simple and the story has that feel good ending at the end.

I enjoyed the first in the series a bit more than this book. It was a decent read, but there was no spark.

Book #2 of the Bride's Necklace trilogy. There's nothing like a dashing privateer to bring out the reckless defiance in a girl. Passion AND intrigue - lovely combination!

Second in the Bride's Necklace trilogy. The first and third books are "The Bride's Necklace" & "The Handmaiden's Necklace". Good read.

This is book two of the Bride's Necklace trilogy. The beautiful pearl and diamond necklace is given to Grace Chastain, illegitimate dtr of a presumed traitor hunted by the British privateer, Ethan Sharpe. Nicely drawn characters, a few hair raising moments, some sizzle and a laugh here and there.

This is the second book in her trilogy, which began with THE BRIDE'S NECKLACE. "To British privateer Ethan Sharpe, Grace is nothing but a pawn for vengeance against Harmon Jeffries, the traitor responsible for his brutal years in prison. Believing her to be Jeffries' mistress, he plans to humiliate his enemy by seducing her...Although she is not the wicked woman he thought, Grace is as headstrong as she is lovely, and the battle of wills that ensues weakens his resolve." Quite an engrossing and delightful read.

Book 2 in the Necklace series, this is as good as the 1st. Fun to read a series with the same characters in it - another great one by Kat.

Middle of the series, enjoyed it, read out of order. Romance, mystery and excitement in one.
