Book Description:
There's a new shop on Seattle's Blossom Street - a flower store called Susannah's Garden, right next door to A Good Yarn. Susannah Nelson, the owner, has just hired a young widow named Colette Blake. A couple of months earlier, Colette had abruptly quit her previous job - after a brief affair with her boss. To her dismay, he's suddenly begun placing weekly orders for flower arrangements!

Susannah and Colette both join Lydia Goetz's new knitting class. Lydia's previous classes have forged lasting friendships, and this one is no exception. But Lydia and her sister, Margaret, have worries of their own. Margaret's daughter, Julia, has been the victim of a random carjacking, and the entire family is thrown into emotional chaos.

Then there's Alix Townsend. Her wedding to Jordan Turner is only months away - but she's not sure she can go through with it. Her love for Jordan isn't in question; what she can't handle is the whole wedding extravaganza engineered by her mentor, Jacqueline, with the enthusiastic cooperation of her future mother-in-law. A reception at the country club and hundreds of guests she's never even met - it's just not Alix. Like everyone else in Lydia's knitting class, Alix knows there's a solution to every problem... and that another woman can usually help you find it!

I'm so happy that the story line is back on Blossom Street. I really didn't care for Susannah's Garden, but this book finds her opening a flower shop right next door to Lydia's Yarn store. Alix returns and so do many other characters from the previous books. Really enjoyed it and look forward to the series continuing, as long as it continues on Blossom Street.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters came to life, and the story line kept me interested. I didn't feel that the stories were already completed in previous books, like I sometimes feel with movie sequels. As long as she keeps writing about life on Blossom Street, I'll keep reading about it.

This book was a good follow up to Susannah's Garden. It was easy to read and easy to follow. Some of it is predictable, but it was still an enjoyable book and would recommend.

This book is awesome just like the previous ones in the series. Keeps you wondering what will happen with each character. I do have to say there was a lot of crying with this one though and happiness at the end. I want to read more of Debbie's books. This was the first series of hers I read.

Another excellent book by Debbie Macomber - with the same characters as the other books on Blossom Street.

Another delightful read from Macomber centering around the knit shop on Blossom Street. By now the characters are all good friends. The two story lines in this novel focus on Alix and the wedding that has taken on a life of its own, and a new character with an intriguing storyline. It's not deep or even particularly thought-provoking, it's more like having a cup of tea with a friend. Warm and comforting, and things always work out for the best in the end.

I have enjoyed this series. The characters have real life experiences and I can relate to them and their struggles. Debbie Macomber is a well written author. Blossom street makes you long for small community life and yet still you know there is something bigger outside this small town street.

If there is a place in Heaven for writers who create characters so real that you feel as if you know them, then Debbie Macomber has her spot there already reserved. Obviously written from the heart of someone who really cares! The yarn shop seems to be "the place to be" for an assortment of people whose lives entwine and become better for knowing each other. As I get to know these characters better the writer makes me feel as if I'm not reading fiction, but a group of friendly autobiographies. READ THIS BOOK! You won't regret it! And whoever does the cover art on these books is brilliant also!

This is the 3rd in a series about a yarn/knitting shop in Washington. The characters are the same with the addition of a new one.The author also includes 2 patterns for a project that is mentioned in the book. The characters support each other through many trials and life changes. This author cannot write the next installment fast enough.I want to visit A Good Yarn!
