Book Description:
Archangel Gabriel and his three mischievous Prayer Ambassadors—Shirley, Goodness and Mercy—lend their celestial aid to three needy Christmas cases. Harry Alderwood, 86, prays that his increasingly forgetful wife, Rosalie, will agree to move into assisted living before he dies. Meanwhile, nine-year-old Carter Jackson begs God for a dog, even though his mother and father tell him that they can't afford to keep a pet, while Beth Fischer's mother prays that her divorced paralegal daughter, nightly engrossed in a World of Warcraft online game, will start a new life. The busybody angels work behind the scenes and provide a few delightful surprise twists as lives transform. -- Publishers Weekly

This is another sweet Christmas read from Debbie Macomber.

The angels Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy are back! This time their earthly assignments lead them to Seattle and Leavenworth, Washington, to take on three very special cases.

There's Harry Alderwood, an ailing, ederly man who needs to convince his wife, Rosalie, to move into an assisted-living facility before his time on Earth is finished.

There's Beth Fischer, who ever since her divorce nearly ten years ago has given up on love, instead finding companionship through the online game World of Warcraft. Could her online partner, Peter, ever become something more than just a fellow gamer?

And finally there's nine-year-old Carter Jackson, who has been waiting patiently all year to get a dog for Christmas. But with his family in financial crisis, it looks like Santa won't be bringing him the one gift he wants most.

Who doesn't love these three meddlesome angels? Although the Archangel Gabriel always has misgivings about sending these three Prayer Ambassadors to Earth, you just know everything is going to work out in the end -- after all, it's Christmas!

This is a quick, cute read that's perfect for this feel-good time of year.

I liked all three of the stories in this book. It is a light-hearted, thought provoking book which helps you to believe in miracles.

Wow-my first book outside of her Blossom Street series and I absoutely loved it. I read it in a few hours. The story of Mercy, Goodness, and Shirley are wonderful and at times funny and others more serious. I found myself crying at the end of the book from the way she ended everyone's stories. I think I enjoyed reading about Carter and Harry the best. Two thumbs up and I will definately read more of her Christmas books in the future!

This book was cute but very predictable. Very lighthearted. I love angel books.
