Book Description:
Anne Marie Roche wants to find happiness again. At thirty-eight, her life's not what she'd expected--she's childless, a recent widow, alone. She owns a successful bookstore on Seattle's Blossom Street, but despite her accomplishments, there's a feeling of emptiness.

On Valentine's Day, Anne Marie and several other widows get together to celebrate...what? Hope, possibility, the future. They each begin a list of twenty wishes, things they always wanted to do but never did.

Anne Marie's list starts with: Find one good thing about life. It includes learning to knit, doing good for someone else, falling in love again. She begins to act on her wishes, and when she volunteers at a local school, an eight-year-old girl named Ellen enters her life. It's a relationship that becomes far more involving than Anne Marie intended. It also becomes far more important than she ever imagined.

As Ellen helps Anne Marie complete her list of twenty wishes, they both learn that wishes can come true--but not necessarily in the way you expect.

Excellent, fast reading story! A group of friends comes up with the idea to make a list of 20 wishes to help them move on in their lives. Things start to change as they take the steps to make the wishes happen. I miss hearing of "the old gang" from Blossom Street. The story doesn't involve them, but there is mention of them. Definitely a feel good book. Leaves me considering making my own list of 20 wishes.

Twenty Wishes is by far the best of the Blossom Street books. Actually, I loved the 1st, so read the 2nd and the 3rd because I have a problem not walking away from a series, but after the 3rd, I wasn't sure if I'd read anymore (not that it was bad, it just wasn't great and I have a ton of books to read). I am so glad I hung in there and read the 4th. While the ending was predictable, I'm not opposed to predictable as long as it's well written and engaging, and this was both. I also like that Macomber mentioned and used previous characters, but that this book focused on new characters and only used the old to support the new. It's refreshing that the same craziness doesn't occur in the same people's lives again and again (unless it's directly related to their job, people don't typically live soap opera lives). So, yay, I'm looking forward to any additional Blossom Street books and even if there is some ridiculous drama, I have hope that she'll still have some great ones!

Book #4 in the Blossom Street series. Love the characters in this series. This one is about the woman who runs the bookstore on Blossom Street and the wish list she makes that ends up changing her life.

Debbie Macomber wrote some other books centering around a yarn shop, this book can stand alone, you dont need to read those to read this. This is about the book store owner. I love the bucket list of 20 wishes.

I haven't read the other books in this series, but this book was a good novel on its own. There were a few characters mentioned in passing whom I assume were in the other books in the series, but it didn't detract from the main story. An enjoyable read about making wishes come true.

This was a good book and another quick read by Debbie Macomber. It did have a wonderful twist in which the characters each made a list of twenty wishes. It was interesting to see how some of the wishes were answered in unexpected ways. It has made me want to take some time and make my own list.
I highly recommend this book.

I really like Macombers "Blossom Street" books. And this one falls in line with the previous ones -- a good read. This book has me making my own "20 wishes".

I thorougly enjoyed this book. I liked meeting up with characters I got to know from other DEbbie Macomber books and meeting new characters in this one and seeing how they all come into contact with each other, just as people do in real life. After all the disasters in the real world it is good to escape into a world where people have problems and actually do something to help themselves solve the problems instead of moaning "Whoa is me! Poor me!!" and do nothing as a lot of people do in real life. Do you want to change your life for the better? Then do something to help yourself like the women in this book. They each have different problems and worries but individually and as a group they get thru them and become better for it. Read it. You'll love it. I am starting my own 20 wishes list. I suggest you do the same. Have a great life!

I have read many of Macomber's books and this latest one will not dissappoint you. As always her writing style is quick, easy and goes along very smoothly.

You are immediately drawn to the 4 widows and each one has her own story to tell. I found myself rooting for each one as they make their list of 20 wishes to do before they die.

Just finished it & as always, it was great being back with my friends on Blossom Street and I want to go back again!
Although we see all the characters from the past Blossom Street books, it seems this one puts the most emphasis on Anne Marie.
Enjoy!

I am a fan of Debbie Macomber. I am trying to read all of her book and this one I really could identify with. It is about 4 women who have lost their husbands and have to reinvent their lives. It is an inspiring book. If you need a change you must read this book. I am now making my own twenty wishes and trying to do them. Kathy
