Book Description:
A great anthology of short novels by the masters of modern fantasy.

Robert Silverberg, Editor of all three volumes of Legends, states of the whole: "Here is a book of visions and miracles--eleven rich, robust new stories by the best-known and most accomplished modern creators of fantasy fiction, each one set in the special universe of the imagination that made that writer famous thourout the world."

These eleven stories are divided into three novels, the 3rd of which is this book.

Robert Jordan relates crucial events in the years leading up to The Wheel of Time in "New Spring."

Ursula K. Le Guin adds a sequel to her famous books of Earthsea, portraying a woman who wants to learn magic, in "Dragonfly."

Tad Williams tells a dark and enthralling story of a haunted castle in the age before Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn, in "The Burning Man."

Terry Pratchett relates an amusing incident in Discworld, of a magical contest and the witch Granny Weatherwax, in "The Sea and Little Fishes."

Last of the anthologies. Robert Jordan's precursor to "New Spring" is in here, Ursula K. LeGuin contributes an Earthsea sequel, Tad Williams contributes a Memory Sorrow and Thorn prequel, and Terry Pratchett contributes a Discworld story about Granny Weatherwax. If you have a favorite series included, this is worth picking up.

Great series. Some of my favorite authors are represented here. Serves as a great intro to many of the biggest names in sci-fi and fantasy.
