Fine, quietly horrific tale of a man whose unexpected, unwanted psychic abilities suddenly open a doorway into a world of dark secrets and darker truths.

I saw the movie first and then read the book. Even though I couldn't put the book down, I still liked the movie a bit more.

Jennifer W. (Although I absolutely love the movie, I wasn't impressed by the book. Not quite as spooky, and too many details were so different from the movie that I couldn't get used to it. It might appeal to others, though, especially if you've never seen the movie starring Kevin Bacon!
