A very good quick read about the mayan people and what some theories about their prophecies may mean. Excellent.

Sharon C. (Another excellent Steve Alten book. A bit of archeology, adventure, sci-fi, politics, crime, power, spirituality. It's all there. Not the end of the world, but close. The only character I didn't care for was the heroine, who came across as a know-it-all brat. I just wanted her to go away.
