Marea MacKenzie's lifelong dream was about to come true: she was ready to mount a campaign to reclaim her clan's Kilclearnon Castle -- stolen ten years ago in battle by the brutal Grahams of England. But on the eve of the long-awaited siege of the castle walls, Marea stumbled upon a wounded man -- her sworn enemy, Chase Graham! Honorable as she was, she vowed to nurse him back to health before the battle, never dreaming that one touch of his golden skin, one kiss from his feverish lips would awaken her smoldering passions! Though tomorrow he would be her foe once more, tonight she must lie in his arms, savoring his ardent caresses and surrendering to his ultimate embrace!
HE'D STORM HER HEART
Chase Graham had never felt comfortable about being a conqueror. The reluctant marauder was determined to restore Kilclearnon Castle to its rightful owner, the beautiful Marea MacKenzie -- and then claim her for his own. But before Chase could find the woman whose charms he longed to possess, another enemy struck him down. When he awoke he felt a cool hand on his brow and a familiar curtain of silky hair brushing his face. Even as he captured her lips in a first searing kiss, Chase knew that he must summon his strength and clasp the lovely Marea in his strong arms, caress her luscious curves in a rhapsody of loving and savor the heady ecstasy of her WILD SCOTTISH EMBRACE
In 1571 Marea MacKenzie was the sole survivor of a brutal massacre at Kilclearnon Castle at fifteen. The siege of the castle by the Graham family has left Marea vowing to avenge the deaths of her family and kinsmen and reclaim the castle for the MacKenzie namesake once and for all. Chase Graham had saved Marea of a terrible fate in 1571 that allowed Marea to escape the massacre. Now, 10 years later he wanders into her hiding place where she is known as Agatha the Witch, feverish and bloody from battle. While her pride tells her to kill him quickly, her heart longs to save him. And her destiny calls out for her to love him. This book was very well written and from page one I was hooked. Marea is the kind of woman that most want to be like. A tad headstrong but full of pepper and courage. I adored the swash buckling sword fights and the sway Marea has between loving Chase Graham and loving the Castle that was once her home.
