Haunted by family scandal, orphaned Neilly Lind seeks refuge at Rosewood, a grand New Orleans plantation presided over by the eccentric Stirling women. Neilly doesn't realize that her position as a lady's companion is merely a ruse; the sisters have hired her to ensnare their nephew, a handsome, arrogant man with a talent for sending female senses spinning but with nary a thought of settling down.
I LOVE Linda Madl's writing. I haven't found a book by her I didn't love!
Neilly and Damon crackle with heat and fire on the pages of this book. Their story has the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. I ached for each character and the pain they have endured in their short lives. I laughed at the antics of Damon's aunts and cousins. I cried for them and I rejoiced with them.
This is a must read if you like Historical Romances and/or Linda Madl.
You will have to find your own copy though, I'm not giving mine up.
