A frontier mining town seems like an ideal place for Emma Douglas to make a fresh start as a schoolmarm. But even a haven like Prospect has its distractions--in the form of dashing Grey North. When Grey insists on accompanying her on a visit to San Francisco, mutual attraction flares into a night of unforgettabale passion . . .

Good historical. Grey is a titled Englishman who left England after a fight with his father to strike out on his own. Emma left San Francisco after her father's supposed suicide for embezzling money from his bank. They meet in Canada where the bulk of the story takes place. This book does not revolve around sex scenes.
