Book Description:
All kinds of wonderful songs can be sung around the campfire. The mood may be boisterous and happy, making you want to "Sing, Sing Together," as in the first section of the book. The next section of spirituals may fill the need to "Rocka My Soul" as the rhythmic songs lend themselves to expression through clapping, snapping or tapping. Voices blend together "Round and Round" producing the sound of a wondrous choir as those simple yet challenging rounds of the third section are sung. Finally, when "Day Is Done": and the mood shifts to the quieter songs, the last section offers beautiful songs, melodies that are lovely for harmonizing and a warm goodnight.

I'm always scouting around for some new songs to sing to my grandsons...stuff they haven't heard on tv or on the computer. I really like music and lyrics like "Oh, My Darling Clementine" and "She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain", perhaps because they are the classics that I learned when I was young. Great book that isn't limited to the campfire.
