Pity that this time she chances on the home of a serial-killer. The kind of guy who likes to take his female victims out into the wilderness for his fun.
It turns out that Rick and Bert are not the only ones heading to Fern Lake...

I'm a huge Laymon fan, have read most of his books, and I regret to say that this isn't one of his best works.
Just when the story gets good, he rushes the ending and you're left both disappointed and frustrated.
Not as much action in this book as in his others.
Still a worthwhile read anyway.

Not one of his better books. Stuck through it to see how he would tie in everyone and it wasn't until the last 10 pages. Very disappointed.

Gillian is on vacation too, but her pastimes are decidedly weirder than Rick and Bert's. She likes to break into people's homes and live there while they're away. Too bad for her she picked the home of a serial killer-a particularly nasty one who likes to take his victims out to the wilds of Fern Lake so he can have his fun without being interrupted. Rick and Bert have no idea how wild the wilderness can be. But they're about to find out.

Another good Laymon book. Kept you interested and wondering what was going to happen next.

This Laymon book was different than all the others of his that I have read. It was not as gruesome. But all in all it was just as good as all the others.

If you are a Richard Laymon fan you'll enjoy this story.

ANOTHER ONE I COULDN'T PUT DOWN READ IT IN A DAY.IT WAS REAL CREEPY,IF YOU LIKE TO BE THRILLED THEN THIS IS THE ONE YOU NEED TO READ!
Gillian likes to break into peoples homes and live there while they are away. Too bad for her that she has chosen the wrog house-This one belongs to a particularly nasty serial killer!
I bought beacause I usually enjoy Richard Laymons books just couldn't get into....
