Book Description:
After the death of wise old Mangan, the Regent of Esphania, many of the regent's skills and qualities seem to have been transferred to his beautiful and intelligent cat, Niffy, who at once attaches herself to the new ruler, Prince Jamas. Sue L. (A slim book - 182 pages with print a bit larger than usual and lots of white space. Probably written for the Juvenile market, but an entertaining and satisfying read for an adult. Might have gotten boring for me if not for the excellent writing skills of Ms. McCaffrey and the brevity of the book. A fantasy novel with princes and princesses, castles with hidden passageways, and maybe a little magic. Read it all in one evening.
