Tired of the disposble lifestyle? It's expensive and wasteful. In Make It Last you will learn lessions that were second nature to Grandma and Grandpa. How to get long life out of the things you own. And how to find new uses for the things that truly wear out. This book is jam-packed with clearn, easy-to-follow advice for extending life of all of your possessions. From cars to carpets, venetian blinds to vegetables, lawns to linens, and hammers to hammocks. Earl Proulx is Yankee magazine's king of the make-it-last philosophy. He draws on 65 years of experience as a handyman as well as being a charming storyteller, too. You'll laugh out loud when you discover how he once bluffed his way through a safecracking job.

Thousands of little details in this highly readable, fun book - that can save you tons of money. I especially liked all the little sidebar drawings of antique instruments and their bygone uses.
