The New York Times best-selling novel from bright new talent Kristin Gore.
Kristin Gore, comedy writer and daughter of Tipper and Al Gore, made her hilarious and touching fiction debut last fall with her entertaining look at Capitol Hill as seen through the eyes of Samantha "Sammy" Joyce a particularly charming young staffer.
Sammys Hill received glowing reviews and appeared on many best-seller lists including the New York Times Publishers Weekly Booksense the Washington Post the Boston Globe the Wall Street Journal, and more. The paperback edition is bound to be one of next summers most popular beach reads.
Written from the point of view of someone who has "Been there - Done that" Ms. Gore has a wry sense of humor - reminds me a bit of Carrie Fisher with softer edges. All in all - a good book! What's next Ms. Gore?

Sammy is a very interesting character - sort of neurotic, but likeable. This book is predictable and a quick read, but good.

Felt like a rip off of the "Confessions of a..." series, just way worse. I put it down 1/3 in and didn't care to ever finish it.

this is the best book i have ever read about politics. It is a personal story of a aide who is still idealistic and competent in the office and a bumbler in her own life and is really not so sure of herself.

"A beltway Bridget Jones"
funny, original, better writing than most in this chicklit genre.

There were some cute moments, but I thought the story took a really long time to get going.

This was an enjoyable read. I thought that the tone of the book changed about half way through. I actually liked the 2nd half better than the first.
