Book Description:
This sequel to East of Peculiar features the same quirky cast of characters, including the spunky band of senior citizens from Valhalla Springs retirement community. Readers should consider themselves duly warned when the felonies start adding up on the first page. Fast-paced and funny, this creative model of romantic suspense takes no prisoners and won't let you go until you've turned the last page and discovered once and for all: Will Hannah Garvey, resident manager for Valhalla Springs, ever get it on with Sheriff David Hendrickson? Who's responsible for the recent murders? Will Hannah's boss's mother continue to dispense her "medicinal" marijuana brownies at her biweekly bridge club? Will David be tried and convicted for a crime he didn't commit?

THERE'S NOTHING LIKE MANSLAUGHTER TO PUT THE BRAKES ON A RELATIONSHIP...
Boredom isn't an occupational hazard for Hannah Garvey, the resident manager for Valhalla Springs, an exclusive retirement community in the Missouri Ozarks. In less than 24 hours she's survived an assault with a deadly weapon, been caught in a compromising position with Sheriff David Hendrickson and consoled her boss's 67-year-old mother -- who's just been busted for growing marijuana for the members of her bi-weekly bridge club.

NOT BAD FOR A WEDNESDAY!
But before the week's end, things have really gotten out of hand. Sheriff Hendrickson is suspended and facing a manslaughter charge. With the evidence and public opinion stacked against him, David is losing all hope. But Hannah and her gang of senior sleuths are determined to clear his name -- before her someday-maybe lover is sent upstate without a paddle for a crime he didn't commit.

I loved ALL of this series. It's mature humor, and you have to be reasonably intelligent and educated to catch on to a lot of her references. I highly recommend all four directions! (I suggest that you read them in order.)

This is the second in a series that was promising. However, I've had a hard time finding the others. (Maybe they'll be here!)
